How to book your trip?

Our web site has extensive information. Take the time to explore the areas that interest you.
When you have a pretty good idea of what you want to do in the Himalayas with us, let us know your preferences by sending a message through the “Enquire” button available in each page.
We will send you back a trip package that includes (when required) local transportation, accommodation, the support staff, all the equipment (tents, sleeping bags, mattresses, and cooking gears), meals & snacks during the trek/tour, and any other services as per your request.
Booking a trek
Please make a payment of minimum 50 % of the total quoted amount and your trek package is booked. We do the rest.
We need to receive the full payment of the trip at last 7 days before arrival.

Payment from inside India
It is quite straightforward. You can either pay the required amount by bank transfer to the Himalayan Ecotourism bank account mentioned below or use the Gpay link.
Payment from outside India
Please note that international money transfers typically incur fees charged by your bank or chosen payment gateway.
Our trip charges are in INR (Indian Rupees). Please make your payment to the Heco bank account, detailed below. Direct transfer of money from your account to the Heco account is the cheapest mode of payment and it is very secure.
To do so, you may need to visit your bank or give them a call. International payment procedures vary, so don’t hesitate to contact your bank for guidance.
Once we receive your payment, we will inform you of the exact amount received in INR. Any necessary adjustments can be settled in cash upon your arrival.

Using Wise
Wise is a safe, easy, fast and cheap way to send money.
If you are not sure of the best payment method, do not hesitate, use this one. Go to wise.com and read the instructions that follow.
You must register on Wise by sharing your email address. You will be asked for other personal information.
When it’s done, you’ll be on your dashboard. You will find on the left side a blue “Send money” button. Click on “New contact” to add Himalayan Ecotourism. On the next page select “Business or charity”.
You will then need to mention the details of Himalayan Ecotourism: our email info@himalayanecotourism.com, our name Himalayan Ecotourism, the IFSC code PUNB0059600 and our bank account number 0596002100008281.
Then the system ask you “What’s the reason for your transfer?”. Select “Travel expenses”. You will also find the possibility to write a message to Himalayan Ecotourism (Reference for Himalayan Ecotourism). Please mention your name.
You need to choose your transfer type. The easiest and fastest transfer type is to use your debit or credit card.
Make sure you are sending the right amount, everything is clearly mentionned under “Transfer details”.
You can change the amount by clicking “Edit”. You are sending in your currency (EUR, USD, etc.) and the payment is received in rupees (INR). Make sure to recipient gets exactly the amount you need to pay in INR. The amount that is charged to you in EUR is automatically shown, as well as the transfer fee and exchange rate.
Click confirm and continue when everything is set, and you will be taken to the standard payment procedure by debit/credit card. We should get your payment within minutes.
Payment from outside India
Wiring money to Heco
If you are making a payment from outside India, please transfer the amount to Heco’s official bank account (details provided below). Kindly do not use any other payment methods.
Our trips are charged in Indian Rupees (INR). If your bank does not allow direct transfers in INR, you’ll need to convert the amount into a supported currency (such as EUR, USD, etc.) before sending the payment.
Please keep in mind that Google’s exchange rate is not the one applied by banks. Banks usually charge a small margin on top of the mid-market rate. Based on our experience, if the Google rate is 1 EUR = 100 INR, it is safer to calculate it as 1 EUR = 95 INR to ensure the correct amount reaches us.
This same logic applies regardless of the currency you’re using, just apply a slightly more conservative exchange rate to cover bank fees.
Don’t worry about small differences, minor discrepancies can easily be settled in cash upon arrival. If we receive a little less, you can top it up then. If we receive a little more, we’ll refund the difference.

Other important information
Cancellation policy
In the event of cancellation of trip due to any reasons we must be notified of the same immediately. Cancellation charges would be as follows.
Cancellation of a trek
- 45 days prior to departure : Full refund minus INR 4000/- administrative fee per participant.
- 30 days prior to departure : 60 % of the trek price will be refunded.
- 7 days prior to departure : 50 % of the trek price will be refunded.
- Less than 3 days prior to departure or no show : no refund.
Cancellation of a tour
- 60 days prior to arrival : Full refund minus : INR 10,000/- administrative fee per participant, all the non-refundable amounts that we have paid for hotels, staff and transportation.
- 30 days prior to arrival : 50 % of the tour price will be refunded.
- 15 days prior to arrival : 25 % of the tour price will be refunded.
- Less than 7 days or no show : no refund.
Travel restrictions due to pandemic or war
In the event that travel is restricted due to a pandemic, war, or any similar large-scale disruption, Heco follows the standard policy widely adopted in the tourism industry: no refunds will be issued.
However, we remain committed to our guests. Any amount already paid will be retained as a credit for a future trip, to be scheduled once the situation normalizes and travel becomes possible again.
Please note that the value of this credit will be calculated as:
- Total amount paid,
- Minus any non-recoverable expenses already incurred by Heco (such as payments to third-party service providers that we are unable to reclaim).
We appreciate your understanding and support in such uncertain times.
Medical and personal information form
We are very much concerned about your health, safety and comfort.
In order to avoid unrequired situation and reduce the risk of any misfortune due to any medical issue, you are requested to fill in and submit this medical form.
Release of Liability and travel insurance
Himalayan Ecotourism and its representatives/subcontractors are released from any liability or claim with respect to any bodily injury, personal injury, illness, death, property loss, or property damage that may happen during any activities that we organize for you.
